Making our streets safe outside of a car
Children, elderly, disabled, broke, or just wanting another way to move.
We believe everyone should be able to travel in safety and with clean air, however they choose.

Road safety
More than 400 people are killed or seriously injured on Birmingham roads each year. This is a choice. Our city designers prioritise car convenience over safety. We challenge that.

Clean air
Birmingham City Council states: “Birmingham currently has unsafe levels of nitrogen dioxide, and we know this has a detrimental effect on the health and life expectancy of our citizens” – Groups like ours work in tackling air pollution.

Building communities
When streets are reclaimed from motor traffic, residents feel safe to walk, cycle and play outside of their homes.
Safe streets build communities.

Harborne East – Plan review – December 2024
