For this meeting we wanted to invite everyone we’ve spoken to so far about traffic issues in Harborne East. We were also pleased to share the results of our data counts, surveys and our proposed schemes to tackle our local traffic issues.
We were especially heartened by the support received from the community. Thank you everyone who gave your time to come listen to us and engage in a positive conversation.
Key points we’d like to highlight are as follows:
1) The is some money to make a change, but it is time limited and if we don’t use it, it returns to be used in other wards.
2) Any measures are under an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order. These would be a 12-18 month trial and if people hate it, it will disappear.
3) As we all know from living here, traffic is getting worse. If we don’t do anything we accept that it will continue to get worse.
